Coalville – Ramblers
We are Coalville Ramblers, a friendly group, based in the beautiful National Forest and on the edge of Charnwood Forest, with a great network of way-marked paths through stunning landscapes and many of our stiles replaced by gates.
We have a full programme throughout the year with walks of all distances and degrees of challenge on Wednesdays and weekends. There are shorter walks are on Thursdays of up to 5 miles, taken at a more leisurely pace. These walks should appeal to members who are not so fit as they were, or are new to rambling. During the summer months we sometimes have short evening walks on Thursdays. We also have occasional coach trips to take us further afield, again with a choice of walks.
Although walking as a group gives an opportunity to socialise, we have occasional social gatherings and outings.
We try to be “green” by encouraging members to contact others with car-sharing in mind.
New members of any age are always welcome, and can join us for two or three walks before committing to becoming members.
