Walking the Wolds with Bill and Mrs M – the starting point for all your future walking adventures with two and four-legged friends, throughout the stunning landscapes of East Yorkshire.

Explore our dog-friendly walks and handy hints designed to help everyone enjoy these fabulous places. This includes detailed route descriptions so that people who are less confident about venturing out can have a go. Plus, you can join our Bill & Mrs M Club to accompany Bill and me on some walking adventures and benefit from special offers and discounts.

You will also find photographs of the places we have explored, some interesting historic details and links to other places to see in the Yorkshire Wolds. This includes places to grab a bite to eat or drink and stay, all of which welcome dogs.

Short Breaks in the Yorkshire Wolds

We offer short break holidays – a fantastic way to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, walking the fabulous National Trails on offer here, enjoy some fascinating history and come back to luxurious self-catering accommodation at the end of the day. Plus, me and Bill with you all the way!

Our short breaks are a fantastic way to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds in the company of Bill & Mrs M, enjoy some fascinating history and come back to luxurious self-catering accommodation at the end of the day.

What’s Included?

Your accommodation is provided by the dog friendly, 4* & 5* Church Farm Cottages, located in Garton on the Wolds where you can choose to have your own one or two bedroomed cottage, or share with up to 3 other people. Whilst the cottages provide fully equipped kitchens and dining spaces, our holidays also include a welcome supper and celebratory meal at the end, as well as tea and cake at the finish of the walking days.

We work with independent pubs, tearooms and coffee shops in the Yorkshire Wolds to provide some refreshments as part of our holidays and organise, if desired, additional talks and suggest visits to attractions for you to enjoy. All of your transport to and from the start and finish of the walks, plus a themed welcome basket and treats for your best dog friend are also part of the package.

We want everyone and their dog to enjoy our holidays, therefore we guarantee to walk at the pace of our slowest participants so that we can all enjoy the landscapes and each others company throughout our time Walking the Wolds together.

All About our Club

Our Bill & Mrs M Club is more than just a Membership or a walking club. It’s about being part of a like-minded community who love walking, being with dogs and getting together to do just that, whilst enjoying the landscapes of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds.

All of the walks that we either do together or suggest as self guided routes, are suitable for people with most levels of mobility and fitness. We walk together at the slowest pace of the group, stop for frequent breaks and include shorter versions of our group walks where possible, so that people can be comfortable about joining us if they feel less able. And, if you are in any doubt, you can always contact me to ask questions and find out if the walk will be suitable for you and your dog.

AND JUST IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING – You don’t have to have a dog to join us, (we have lots of members who don’t), you just have to like dogs and then you can just enjoy walking with us and all the other benefits.
