Low Mill’s is perfect for enjoying quality time with family and friends. Its location is fabulous. You can enjoy walking in the hills, sailing on the lakes, reconnecting with nature, listening to the stream, and watching the creatures that wander through the garden.

This spacious 3 bedroomed cottage has room for everyone, as it sleeps 5, with a family bathroom plus downstairs toilet. It was part of English Heritage’s Stott Park Bobbin Mill and is next door to Woodside Cottage. You’ll be staying in a piece of history.

With a TV with Netflix, on hand, you can still enjoy all your favourite box sets!

And of course, you don’t want to leave your dog at home, they’re part of the family. Well at Low Mill you can bring your dogs, we welcome up to 2 dogs with NO CHARGE.

Within its stone walls, guests will find their every comfort has been carefully considered. With beautiful finishes and the most thoughtful of touches, this cosy cottage simply oozes charm throughout. The high-quality interior will ensure that all guests will feel immediately at home from the moment they step inside.

There’s plenty of space for you at Low Mill with three bright and airy bedrooms:

Fell View Cottage is a beautiful, well cared for, boutique styled cottage in the small village of Allithwaite. It is very well equipped with a chrome Cast on the TV, you can still enjoy all your favourite box sets on Netflix, and Amazon Prime (you need your own account).

But most importantly of all, you can relax, unwind and see your cares float away! when you enjoy FREE access to the local Spa (approx 15 mins away ) for hot tub/jacuzzi, swimming pool etc. …..Shear bliss!

You can walk from the front door to our local pub it’s within easy walking distance. The Pheasant serves terrific home-cooked food by roaring log fires in the Winter and welcomes dogs. If you love to browse there’s a quaint charity shop with a small tearoom. If you have an active family the village of Allithwaite is ideal. There’s a tennis court, community orchard and children’s playground to burn off some excess energy. The village has everything you could possibly need. Nearby is Cartmel:- historic Priory, antique and craft shops, traditional pubs and Michelin starred L’Enclume.

2 miles away is the Edwardian town of Grange over Sands, with is delightful. promenade and excellent award-winning shops.

The garden is enclosed and we have an outsider tap so you can be sure your loved ones won’t escape. We are away from main roads and you are sure to enjoy the peace and quiet of this area.

This is a wonderful area for dog owners with fabulous walks from the doorstep and plenty of fields, footpaths, woods and beaches to choose from to ensure that your dog can run around off the lead.

We accept up to 2 dogs and will consider 3 dogs free of charge.

Friends of the Brecon Beacons works closely with the National Park Authority. We aim to advance and enhance, protect and conserve the countryside and other amenities of the Brecon Beacons National Park for the benefit of the public.
To advance the education of the public in the ways in which to achieve the above including the provision of opportunities for healthy recreation and in particular walking

What do we do?

  • We keep a watching brief on all planning applications in the Park and comment on those of significance.
  • We receive information about the state of the footpaths and other rights of way in the Park and bring footpath problems to the attention of the Park Authority
  • We support the aims of the Forest Fawr Geopark, are represented on its Management Group and work in partnership on suitable projects.
  • We supported the creation and help maintain the Beacons Way – a 100 mile linear walk across the Park
  • We provide Guided Walks every weekend throughout the whole year in different areas of the Park a well as walks on some weekdays as well. Free to Members.
  • We run a series of lively and informative Talks and Events throughout the year. Free to Members.
  • We led the work with the Park Authority to obtain International Dark Skies Reserve status for the National Park and we work on other major projects within the National Park.
  • We work with the Brecon Beacons Park Authority on issues of importance within the National Park. We are members of the BBNPA’s Advisory Committees.
  • We work with the Alliance for Welsh Designated Landscapes, Friends of Pembroke National Park and the Snowdonia Society on the Welsh and UK Governments’ legislative programmes that directly affect the operation or, indeed, continued existence of national parks and respond to consultations.
  • We also work closely with other organisations interested in protecting and promoting our National Parks, such as Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and the Brecon & Radnor branch of CPRW.
  • We publish a twice-yearly magazine The Beacon, distributed free to Members.

Brecon Beacons Walks

The Brecon Beacons National Park offers a great range of walks ranging from the high peak wilderness of Mynydd Ddu in the west, through the high peaks of the central Beacons to the slightly more gentle Black Mountains in the east. In between, there are beautiful valleys, lakes, waterfalls and the canal.

Hafan Yr Haul is a perfect location for walking, hiking, cycling and mountain biking. On the Mawddach trail, close to Cader Idris and a short drive to Coed y Brenin. Blue flag beaches, crystal clear lakes and lots of activities including SUP and pony trekking in the immediate vicinity. 

The contemporary house is well equipped and offers 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All 4 rooms can be doubles with Superking beds or 2 can be arranged as twin rooms. 

Secure bike storage, a large utility room and an outside hose make it the ideal base for those enjoying an active holiday. Not forgetting all the creature comforts you’ll need at the end of the day including underfloor heating, log burner and rain head showers.

The House

Upstairs you will find a large open plan dining kitchen separated from the living room by a feature wall incorporating a double-sided log burner. There is a handy w.c. at the main entrance. From the hallway, you move through to the Master bedroom with a large picture window and, of course, an ensuite bathroom, complete with a rain-head shower.

Downstairs you will find 3 more bedrooms, another with an ensuite bathroom and kingsize bed, plus 2 more with Super king-size beds that can be separated into full-size twin beds if you prefer. The family bathroom offers a large bath and a separate shower.

You will also find a large games room complete with a Smart 4k TV and Playstation 3, as well as a multi-game table providing pool, hockey and table tennis for children – or anyone else…! There’s a day bed and trundle offering the 2 additional beds should you need to sleep 10. This room also provides the laundry facilities including a washer/drier, additional sink, an extra fridge and storage space.


The Snowdonia National Park and the coastline near to hafan Yr Haul have plenty to offer visitors.

Even within easy walking distance of Hafan Yr Haul you’ll find spectacular scenery in places like Barmouth, Fairbourne, and the Mawddach Trail, along which you can stroll towards Dolgellau along the Mawddach estuary.

Inland you can walk to the famous Arthog Falls, or hop in the car and drive to the spectacular Cregennan lakes and wonder at the fantastic walks and views available in the area.


Great Orme Cottage is tucked away along a quiet road, half way up the Great Orme in Llandudno, you will find this beautiful semi-detached cottage.

Enjoying wonderful countryside views from the doorstep, the cottage is ideal for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil escape in this stunning conservation area, with all the benefits of a vibrant, Victorian, seaside resort at the foot of the hill. The cottage is a stone’s throw away from the halfway tram station.

You can enjoy the stunning beauty of the Great Orme or you can take a ride down on the tram to the hustle and bustle of Llandudno’s town centre. If you’re feeling a little more energetic it is approximately a fifteen-minute walk down to the foot of the hill. If you’d like to head to the summit of the Great Orme, you’ll be greeted by breath-taking views, a café, shop, children’s playground and crazy golf.

There is lots to do in Llandudno – take a stroll along the promenade and the pier, hit the beach with your bucket and spade or head to the town centre where you’ll find all the shops you could possibly want. Amble around the old part of the town with all its Victorian charm and character or head to the new retail park with all the big high street names. Llandudno boasts two shores – The North Shore is a hive of activity whilst the West Shore, in contrast, is peaceful and boasts a nice sandy beach with spectacular views. There is a beautiful coastal walk from the West Shore to the historic town of Conwy. Conwy boasts a magnificent medieval fortress and castle dating back to the 13th century!

Key Great Orme Cottage Features


The cottage is available for rent for full weeks (Saturday to Saturday), or short breaks (Saturday to Tuesday or Tuesday to Saturday). Check-in is available from 5 pm and check out is required by 10.00 am.

Short breaks may be possible on different days outside of peak season (Beginning of November to mid-December and mid-January to the end of March). Please contact us to discuss further.


The cottage can accommodate up to a maximum of four people in two bedrooms – one double bed, one set of bunk beds. In addition, a travel cot can be provided upon request (this would be in the second bedroom along with the bunk beds).

The cottage has a bright, modern, lounge/diner with a large four-seater corner sofa, log burning stove, smart television and dining table and chairs/stools.

The shower room is modern, fresh and sparkling.

There is a porchway for hanging your coats and storing your muddy boots.

The cottage has front and rear gardens, laid to lawn with an alfresco dining area.

There is parking for two cars on the driveway.


The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a fridge/freezer, washing/drying machine, oven, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle.

Fresh towels and bed linen are provided at the start of each stay. If you are staying for longer than one week and you would like us to provide fresh towels, fresh laundry and clean the cottage, please ask for details – there will be an additional charge.

The cottage is tucked away along a quiet road, halfway up the Great Orme in Llandudno. The Great Orme is a stunning conservation area and therefore the cottage enjoys beautiful views from the doorstep. The cable cars can be seen in the distance going up and down the hill and the halfway tram station is a stone’s throw away.

Off-road parking is available for two cars.

Llandudno’s town centre is at the foot of the hill and offers; lots of shops, cafes and restaurants, several chip shops, a chemist, numerous cashpoints, a post office, beaches, a promenade, a pier and a golf course!

Situated on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park where the ancient Mauley Cross and Old Wives Well stand close to a Roman road you will find Moorside Country B&B.
Close to picturesque Newton Dale where the North York Moors steam trains chug their way through the idyllic valley, you will find the perfect location for exploring the Moors, the magnificent Yorkshire coastline and the picturesque Vale of York. So, here are a few suggestions for exploring the local area with family days out and local tourist attractions.

With panoramic views of the Marshwood Vale from the lounge of Strongate View, it is the perfect location for exploring and recharging your batteries. An ideal base for two adults or for a couple with a child as a Jaybe single bed can also be made available. The apartment is situated in the village of Salway Ash, just a short 3 mile drive to the market town of Bridport and the Jurassic coast.

External stairs at the side of the house lead up to the accommodation which is all first floor.

Living Area
Lounge/Living room with comfy leather sofa, separate chair and smart TV. There is a table and two chairs and a chest with games. Smoking is not permitted in the annexe. Free Wifi.

The cooking area includes an induction hob, microwave, Neff oven & fridge (with freezer compartment). Dishwasher with kettle and toaster.

Main Bedroom
The bedroom is two steps up from the living area. Large bedroom with a comfy king size bed, wardrobe space and full-length mirror. The internal door (between the owner’s house and the apartment) is located in the bedroom and will always be locked during your stay. Ideally suited for two adults but a Jaybe single bed is also available for a young child. Travel cot and highchair are also available on request.
