Our aim is to make your stay as luxurious and comfortable as possible. In equipping Woodside, we have chosen high-quality furnishings and fixtures and we have tried to provide everything you will need to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
Each room at Woodside has been meticulously designed with the help of an interior designer, who I am sure you would agree, has designed unique colour schemes and furnishings. We have three bedrooms at Woodside, which means we can pay attention to every detail. Many guests say we have thought of everything, I hope you would agree.

Our Luxury Lake District dog-friendly cottage has a Patio garden that is a real SUN TRAP and wonderful for eating alfresco, whilst the COTTAGE GARDEN has seating for 6 and whilst you sit and enjoy the peace and quiet all you can hear are the sounds of the nearby stream and bird song. The view from the garden is of the distant mountains across the wooded valley. It’s child and pet safe, and enclosed and there is a BBQ and Firepit for you to enjoy from April to November
We have 2 gardens for your pets to use. Both gardens are enclosed. The Patio garden is slabbed with table and chairs to enjoy the morning sun and a BBQ, whilst the COTTAGE GARDEN is well stocked with plants, a picnic bench, 6 sun loungers, a fire pit and BBQ and you can enjoy the sound of a nearby stream.
Woodside is dog friendly with wood and tiled floors on the ground floor. We have an outdoor tap for you to use.
It is in a wonderful area for DOGS with walks from the door and plenty of fields, footpaths etc.
There is private parking for 2 cars with visitor parking nearby.
Location
The location of Woodside Cottage is fabulous, being in the heart of the National Park and by Lake Windermere, with Lakeside and Newby Bridge a stone’s throw away. Such a central lakes location will enable you to see so much of the lake District and we have the fabulous High Dam to walk to.
4 of the TOP 10 Lake District Attractions can be walked to from Woodside: The Haverthwaite to Lakeside Steam Railway, The Lake Windermere Cruisers, The Aquarium of the Lakes and the ferry for Fell Foot Park.
If peace, serenity and a superb walk with the dog is what you seek, then High Dam is ideal. It must be one of the most peaceful lakes in the whole of the Lake District and was much favoured by Alfred Wainwright. He thought it, “far superior to Tarn Hows.” High praise indeed.
