My website not only provides information on different types of walking terrain, but also the locations, including map views.  In addition, my video walks are full of various landscape features such as geological, archaeological, historical or cultural points of interest.  The music for each video is my original arrangement which is used as a soundtrack. My tracks are included with each walk to listen to on "Terrain" menue above.

Walking has been a hobby of mine for many years. In fact during that time I have joined different walking groups around Manchester before my interest in filming developed.  During that time I have tackled various types of walks from easy short trails to longer difficult walks.  The YHA walking groups had weekends away which introduced me to Youth Hostelling and the challenge of mountains, such as Mount Snowdon in Wales, Old Man Coniston in the Lakes and a few others.

​It was the  countryside which inspired me to start taking photographs and later filming walking experiences, all within easy reach of Manchester, Lancashire, and beyond.
