Sea Fern is a spacious, walking and cycling friendly holiday cottage, within 1 mile of Robin Hood's Bay and the beach.
This beautifully renovated cottage is the perfect base for walking the Cleveland Way and for traffic-free cycling along the Cinder Track, which runs along the coast from Whitby to Scarborough. Sea Fern sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms, and is perfectly suited to accommodate families or a group of friends. You can request that the rooms are made up as 2 x Twins and 1 x King or 1 x Twin, 1 x King and 1 x Super King.
Fylingthorpe is a small village less than a mile from Robin Hood's Bay in the North York Moors National Park, approximately five miles from Whitby.
The area is fantastic for exploring the North Yorkshire Coast from Scarborough to Saltburn. It's perfect for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, wild swimmers and surfers or just for those who want to relax on the beach. In Fylingthorpe itself there is a butchers, a corner shop and a pub 5 minutes walk away. In Robin Hood's Bay there are plenty of cafe’s, pubs and restaurants, so you won't be short of a well-earned place to rest after your day's activities. Our information folder is packed with lots of fun things to do, in order to make your stay memorable and relaxing.

We're a dog-friendly holiday let. The beach is dog friendly and so is the local pub.
We refurbished the property in 2022, so it's all NEW! New beds, mattresses, bathrooms, heating and we're fully insulated to keep you warm in the winter months.

Facilities
The holiday cottage offers three bedrooms;1 x twin, 1 x King and 1 x super king (the super king can be separated into twin beds) and sleeps up to six.
It has 2 bathrooms (one shower room and one bath room), 50” Sony television (with Freeview), WIFI, bluetooth Bose speaker for streaming music and radio from your phone, and a living flame gas fire.
The property is well insulated and has central heating. There is an electric drying rack in the kitchen cupboard for wet boots and coats.
There is a south facing patio and garden to the rear, which is a real sun trap. We have a large barbeque and the rise and fall patio table can be used as a coffee table or at full height for dining during the summer months.
Bikes can be stored securely on site. There are two motorbike wall anchors that are bolted to the stone walls so bikes can be locked up indoors - please note that the locks are not provided. Sea Fern also has a comprehensive range of bike maintenance tools, a work bench and a track pump.
There is a hosepipe in the back garden for washing down bikes, dogs and wetsuits.
We kindly request there is no smoking in the holiday rental. A retractable stair gate is provided to help you ensure that your dog stays downstairs.
Parking
There is a drive for off street parking. It is narrow, so we ask that you park at the top, allowing our neighbour to park at the bottom (nearest the garage) to allow for ease of opening car doors. There is additional ample parking to the front of the cottage. There is enough parking for two cars.

Essentials
You can order your groceries to be delivered by Sainsbury's or Tesco or you can stock up directly at Sainsbury's in Whitby. The butchers in Slights is amazing and Thorpe Stores opens daily from 8 am til 7 pm and does a fantastic bacon butty in the morning. Why not order a Botham's of Whitby hamper, containing everything you need to enjoy an Afternoon Tea with Botham's; Fruit Cake, Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese, Plum Bread, Strawberry Jam, Shortbread Morsels, Batternburg and their very own house blend Resolution Tea.
