Pure Clear – Filter Water Bottle

The UK's #1 Filter Water Bottle

Description

Pure Clear is a known industry leader, we are used to working with all types of customers - local or global, large or small. Exceptional quality is the foundation of our company, and we strive to bring groundbreaking filtration technology to our customers, irrespective of their environment.

Whilst it is critical our partners have the relevant testing certification and products are all tested in line with the relevant testing bodies such as ISO, NSF 42, ANSI and SGS, we independently carry out our own testing in our laboratory to support the results and continue to push technology.

Offering the ability to drink the cleanest filtered water possible is our passion, with education backed by evidence and state of the art technology we aim to improve our customers health and improve life longevity. However our drive is not just about educating our customers regarding our abilities and technology, we are just as passionate about protecting the consumer from other companies that offer filtration systems, or advertise them as something they are not. At Pure Clear Filters we do NOT recommend long-life filters, nor do we agree that a water bottle can be safe to use outdoors for survival if it does not remove viruses as well as the other usual contaminants.

Bottles

The Pure Clear-Active water bottle has been designed specifically for sport and outdoor activity. The water bottle is light weight yet solid, and can be filled up from tap water sources such as at the gym or sports centre, toilet tap, home and even abroad. If your preference is a little more extreme, the patented technology within the filter gives you the ability to filter water from outdoor water sources that you may come across during your activities such as streams, brooks etc.

The Pure Clear-Active bottle is BPA and BPS free. It is also completely free of estrogenic and androgenic activity and is recyclable, meaning it is the safest manufacturing plastic available to date. The Pure Clear-Active water bottle has a single press button to release the lid via a spring action (which is anti-rust, stainless steel) so it is simple to open should you have your hands full. Once open it showcases a silicone mouthpiece, which is soft and comfortable to drink from.

Inside the bottle, itself is the filter cartridge housing and straw. The housing and straw simply twist away from the lid becoming two separate pieces. The body of the filter cartridge then twists again in the centre, which exposes the selected filter, which can then be swapped if required.

There is a band around the centre of the housing which has 1 - 12 marked on it to indicate the month of the year and when the filter was introduced. Simply twist the band with the corresponding number on, to point at the arrow marked on the body of the housing. You can now see when the filter was introduced and if it requires replacement.

We do not recommend long life filters, these filters allow bacteria to grow within the filtration system themselves when left or used over periods of time. Should you be using a system with a long life filter we recommend regular maintenance and decontamination of the filter to help prevent organic bacteria growth and odours. Our concern over long life filters is without laboratory or high-level decontamination processes such as autoclave you can never be 100% sure the growing bacteria inside the filter has been killed, not to mention the repeated cleaning processes required and the associated down time. These high temperature decontamination methods whilst highly effective can in turn can damage the filter media. Therefore it is good working practice to change the filter once every 2 months, or when the filter becomes hard to pull water through, even if it is advertised as a long life filter. Pure Clear Filters does not manufacture or use long life filters for the reasons mentioned above and we consider anything over 1000 litres to be long life, in the same vein we would also recommend that you change our filters on a 2 month basis.

"As the filter removes 99.9999% of all bacteria and removes 99.99% of viruses, you can take the Pure Clear-Active water bottle down by the pool with a healthy scoop of ice inside it and stay rehydrated all day without the worry of any nasty surprises later in the day."

The Pure Clear-Active is very versatile and as mentioned above, it is the perfect companion to take with you on holiday. As in almost all cases, travellers' diarrhoea is caused by bacteria, with Escherichia coli (E coli) accounting for a third of all cases according to a StatPearls paper updated in 2021. Other offending bacteria include Campylobacter jejuni, whilst viruses such as norovirus, rotavirus and COVID-19 as well as parasites can also cause travellers' diarrhoea, As our Pure Clear filter removes 99.9999% of all bacteria and removes 99.99% of viruses, you can take the Pure Clear-Active water bottle down by the pool with a healthy scoop of ice inside it and stay cool, rehydrated and relaxed all day without the worry of any nasty surprises later in the day. Having said that, it is still possible to catch something rather nasty from food, food washed in local water or poor hand hygiene. We would recommend the Pure Clear Shrinkable to take for the kids, as it is easily compactable for the smaller suit case.

Wherever you are in the world, even at home it is essential to filter your water. According to an in-depth article written by the Guardian newspaper it is now common knowledge that the UK does not test our drinking water for a group of toxic manmade chemicals linked to a range of diseases including cancers. You can learn more about PFAS on our blog.

Our filters are rigorously and independently tested to give the best possible filtration performance in compliance with the NSF and ANSI 42 drinking water requirements.
