There’s much to do in Windermere, the Lake District and, understandably, a good deal of it is outdoors. Walking, cycling, running, fishing, boating, climbing or sightseeing – the list is endless and the locations many.

Invergarry guest house is situated centrally between Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, we are an ideal base for exploring the Lakes and Fells of the Lake District National Park with Lake Windermere a few minute's walk down the hill.
We are within walking distance of the Beatrix Potter attraction and within easy access to ferry nab where you can cross Lake Windermere to Beatrix Potter’s house.

Guest House Accommodation

We have 6 beautifully decorated guest rooms, 5 are double & 1 can be a double or triple, all with en-suite shower rooms. Each shower room has Cole & Lewis of London shower, shampoo and hand wash. All our rooms have complimentary tea & coffee facilities, a fridge, wine glasses and a bottle opener as well as homemade cake and biscuits.
Each room has a copy of “Our Little Walk” book. The book will direct you from our front door and will take you on some fabulous walks with memorable viewpoints.

We pride ourselves on cleanliness and we ensure that mattresses, carpets and upholstery are steam cleaned regularly.

Self-Catering

Our purpose-built private, one-bedroom self-catering holiday let is the ideal place to enjoy the Lake District. Situated one mile from Windermere train station, it is halfway between Windermere, Bowness and the Lake with a 10 to 15-minute walk to all three destinations.

This detached studio has an open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area, all of which are is bright and airy with high quality fittings and fixtures.

The Kitchen is equipped with dishwater, built-in oven and hob, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and fridge freezer. There’s also a breakfast bar for informal dining or a dining table for a romantic meal for two.

The living area has a cosy leather sofa, a large flat screen 50” TV with Sky & an electric fire.

The bedroom has a double bed and a flat screen TV, wardrobe and storage space as well as a fitted dressing table. The Ensuite leads from the bedroom and includes a rain shower and jacuzzi bath.

Double French doors open from the living areas to a sun trap outside seating area to enjoy a predinner drink – complete with table and chairs for alfresco dining and garden furniture for relaxing.

Included in your stay is unlimited use of Choices Gym and Pool. This is an off-site health centre approx 2 miles from The Bird House.
