Bury HF Walking Club
We are able to offer a variety of walks to suit a range of abilities. Explore the site to find out about us and how to join.
Based in the northwest of England, we are fortunate indeed to have so much wonderful and varied countryside on our doorstep, or within easy driving distance. Our members appreciate this benefit and make great use of it. If you are of a similar mind, or if you would like to become more familiar with our countryside, you would be most welcome to join our friendly club and share the experience with us.
Aims of the Club:
We aim to provide a wide and varied programme of walks throughout the year, designed to appeal to walkers of all abilities and different levels of fitness.
Bury HF consists of THREE walking groups. Members are entitled to walk with any, and all, of the groups below:
Some of these walks are classed as ‘difficult’ and are usually between 10 miles and 15miles in length
or may include significant ascent.
The group meet at Tenters Street (Law Courts) car park leaving promptly at 13.00. The programme offers an amble of approximately 3–4 miles once a month and a walk of approx 6 miles three times each month. You might like to consider taking a snack and a drink.
The group meets at Belle Vue Terrace car park, at 10.00. Walks are approximately 8 miles in length.
